10th july 2010

Woke up with healthy breakfast

Rushed all the way from Collin Street to federation Square. A street performer

ACMI in Federation square

as we signed up for a Melbourne by foot one day tour.

so meet up everybody at Federation Square. This is Dave Carswell, our tour guide.

big ass projection screen at Federation Square

He explained each and every inch of Melbourne Federation Square.

this remind me of  Hong Kong Star Avenue.

This is not a Paris Tower.

As you know this is called Melbourne by foot so our whole day tour was traveled the Melbourne city by our own foot.

Explaining right beside the Yarra River.

Very concentrating. Actually at that time when he explained I felt so dizzy as I had a very bad hang over after the 3 shots and one glass of  champaign the night before.

very western style design.

Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG)

Birrarung Marr’s Federation Bells, The awesome part of the tour.

The Ferris Wheel. This remind me of one of my bestie wanted to get her proposal in the wheel. haha

Is bigger than me.

*chik chak* It was so damn cold.

The railway crossings merging towards Flinders Street Station.

Batman Avenue. What a name :P why not superman avenue or ironman avenue?

reached the awesome ACDC lane. I wasn’t aware until Chris told me ACDC actually are an Australian rock band, formed in 1973. Their album Back in Black is 2nd highest-selling album in history, behind Thriller by Michael Jackson. AC/DC ranked fourth on VH1’s list of the “100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock”. The most interesting part is their latest album was Iron man 2 soundtrack! No wonder ler they are so proud of ACDC and renaming of Corporation Lane to ACDC Lane as a tribute to the rock band.

The entire lane was actually street arts.

pay attention to what Dave wanted to tell us before we start admiring the arts.

*meow*

I actually like the western culture as they appreciate ART.

Winter trip – Melbourne 2nd day

9th July 2010

Woke up and greeted with the morning breeze of Melbourne.

The place we stayed.

The parking signage.

The Melbourne tram. How I wish we can have this tram systems in Penang but we got no such big land and big budget for this. Imagine, if we do have this life would be so much easier.

Just right opposite the apartment there are a huge building own by a bank and in front of it there are alot of statues standing and posing out there.

Florist??? yea, it is.

Such lovely idea by opening a florist on the road side.

Bicycles for rent.

Morning!

Boo just look so tiny compare to the ang mo in there. haha

Still have’t got used with the temperature there.

Tram stop

Our 1st stop! Queen Victoria Market

Section by section

Very very very huge morning market.

never been to such huge market in my life before. Is like a Tesco in Malaysia

Spotted something that caught our attention.

A moving doughnut Kitchen’s van. Queuing for that.

that’s what I wanted to experience. Western country’s life.

The food court inside the market.

Seated and ready to eat.

forgotten what is this called. I know I ordered a set of breakfast

which came with this cup of cappuccino

Doughnuts which got jam flavour.

Mr. B’s Hot choco.

a plate of mini pancakes.

and soo yee’s cappuccino.

It may look small

but there are alot of choices.

Time to shop for our dinner for the rest of our stay.

Meat section.

They loves meats, I guess.

Oysters.

The cleanness, the odorless and the systematicness that make me like the market so much. Is just like a shopping mall. I went to the public toilet is just as clean as our hotel toilet here, it was so well-maintain.

Dairy product sections

Cheese??? yes cheeseeeee :) whatever cheese u want u can get it here. cheddar kah, creame cheese kah, Mozzarella cheese kah, Parmesan cheese kah, as long as it is cheese. and they actually had cheese tasting there.

Soo yee : I think we should cook cheese with bacon in the morning for breakfast lo.

Chris : uh huh??? bacon?? which means we need to buy bacon also??

so we headed to buy us some bacons.

Winter trip – Melbourne 1st day

MACEH leh wasted my whole night typing the 1st day of my trip and it went up ALL wording gone except for the pictures MALEHHHH!!!!!!! wasted my whole night.

Smoking = bad for health tsk tsk.

gate opened!!! yay!!! so excited!

my 1st time travel with Air Asia X

Departed at Local time 1.25pm

Actually I like Air Asia X so much that Air Asia because it got more legs room like any other aircraft is just that for a budget long haul flight they dont have free in flight entertainment and they dont have free meal as well. What to expect, for the sake of cheap flight tickets.

Even a bottle of water also costs you RM3. *sigh*

we actually bought ourself a comfort kit when we buy our flight tickets one year ago and inside consists of one blanket

one eye mask and a pillow.

Filled up the immigration form

Australia are well-known for it strictness when pass through immigration so you better declare everything single thing before they caught you and got urself into a trouble.

I don’t know how many times I will say this but I still like to say it everytime I travel. I ♥ flying!!!

he’s busy reading

I am busy sleeping. Slept for 4 hours straight once I got up to the plane. *tee hee*

busy unpacking

and WTF my luggage’s password suddenly  couldn’t access  maleh

” How am I suppose to take my clothes out and change??? ”

After trying so hard and I fed up so I threw it over to Skillful thief -Mr Leslie Kon ( just kidding) to help me handle the tough job. and I busy taking photos hhahahahahaha :o pps:

the kitchen and the dining area that we had our dinner when we are at home.

we were so hungry until we decided to curi 6 packet of Indo Mee which directly import from Indonesia as our 1st supper in Melbourne.

9th April 2010

Got my immigration pass and passport ready.

was stuck in the line to pass the immigration check point for almost 1 and a half hour.

It’s so easy to go Macau from Zhu Hai. Like I mentioned in previous post in Zhu Hai all we need is to go over to GongBei port and walk to the immigration thats it. Don’t need to involve any transportation at all just your two feet.

After came out from here

Hello MACAUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!

Met up with our tour guide Miss Chong.

And start receiving all the messages like this.

Macau is a sin-city I guess. Too much casino here.

Everything in Macau look so Portuguese. This is called Portas do Cerco.

Saw an Esprit Outlet. There are alot in Hong Kong and I always thought Esprit in Hong Kong will be much cheaper than here but it prove me so wrong. It just the same like what we can get here. Deyammmm…..

How does the bus in Macau look like.

Their school uniform

and I guess this is the primary school uniform??? or different school got different uniform there?? I don’t know

Normally people go Macau they will certainly visit the St. Paul’s church and I don’t know why.

Spotted a boutique name Fatima and it reminds me of Farhana haha

In Macau they drive Toyota Corolla as taxi

Even the road sign board also in a very Portuguese style

Here we go

This is how the back of  The Ruins of St Paul’s Church look like

The Front.

Family’s shot.

went into the Crypt

Alot of Jesus statues in there

Paintings hanging on the wall

The Ruins of St. Paul’s (大三巴牌坊) refer to the façade of what was originally the Cathedral of St. Paul, a 17th century Portuguese cathedral in Macau dedicated to Saint Paul the Apostle. Today, the ruins are one of Macau’s most famous landmarks. In 2005, the Ruins of St. Paul were officially enlisted as part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Historic Centre of Macau.

Timeline

Cute doggie

and there’s a dog fight.

And beside the church it was a Na Tcha Temple 大三巴哪吒廟 is a Buddhist and Taoist temple in Macau dedicated to the worship of the deity Na Tcha.

The temple became one of the designated sites of the Historic Centre of Macau enlisted on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

and the Old Macau City Walls was made out of  clay, sand, rice straw, rocks and oyster shells. The city wall sections are now part of the Historic Centre of Macau UNESCO World Heritage Site also.

clay
sand
rice straw
rocks
oyster shells

Friendly guide.

This are a few houses in Macau

a small road side stall selling books and newspaper like we always saw it in the movies.

Aha! Caltex in Macau :)

Golden Dragon Casino

Hotel Golden Dragon

It’s a buffet lunch this time Woahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Fuhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Yay!!!! Buffet.

1st round

2nd round

Actually I start to felt full but I still go for 3rd round. Yada yada yada I know I am greedy indeed SUper greedy

but you know the food in Villa Picasso *mmmmmmuaaaahhh* Delicious! or maybe just because for the past few days all the food I ate are always the same? Probably.

I realize in Macau they used to parked their bikes under the flyover and in Macau there’s alor of motorcyclist as well

we stopped at a Souvenirs shop to get our souvenirs bought and bring back home fresh.

Orient Arch 东方拱门

The Statue of Guan Yin, a blend between the traditional images of the goddess Guan Yin and Holy Mary. This Guan Yin statue looks sad and what according to my father was because Guan Yin feel sad to see all those people who came over to Macau just because they are all gamblers 赌鬼 hahahaha lameeeee joke.

The buildings in Macau all very Portuguese-ish nd the road are all quite steep.

Here we reached A-Ma Temple 妈阁庙 one of the oldest and most famous temples in Macau. The name Macau is thought to be derived from the name of the temple. It is said that when the Portuguese sailors landed at the coast just outside the temple and asked the name of the place, the natives replied “媽閣”. The Portuguese then named the peninsula Macao.

And I tend to like taking pictures with ROCK hahahaha WTF!

The blessings.

I like how the buildings structure in Macau look like

even a lamp pose also look nice to me. So vintage.

The famous Koi Kei shop.
